Classes

Little ones wish every day was dance day when they dance with Lorraine!

Parent and Tot, Creative Dance and Pre-Ballet classes are offered at Kitsilano Community Centre as well as Arts Umbrella.

Parent and Tot:  A gentle introduction to dance with a focus on fun and the joy of dancing.  Stories, poems, props and pictures are used to get the little ones dancing.  Body parts, levels and directions will be explored providing opportunities to foster connection with the care-givers while sensitively encouraging independence - tons of fun for everyone! 

Creative Dance:  Children explore the elements of dance through the use of stories, props and pictures.  This playful, supportive environment inspires a love of dance while providing opportunities to understand both the freedom and structure of Creative Dance.    Open viewing on last day of class.  

Pre-Ballet:  This introductory class focuses on posture, body awareness and musical sensitivity.  Dancers have the opportunity to improvise and explore movement concepts while experiencing the beauty of dance - perfect fit for the budding ballerina!   Open viewing on last day of class.
